For the last 16 years, Climate Generation has been hosting the annual Summer Institute for Climate Change Education, recognizing the critical role educators play as messengers of climate literacy, and that climate change education is part of the solution. Similarly, The Wild Center has been hosting Youth Climate Summits, recognizing that youth are among our most powerful advocates. Additionally, the NOAA Climate Program Office has been leading climate literacy efforts for the nation for the last decade and a half.

Keynote Presentation: Raven Baxter (45 minutes)Title: Finding Your Voice in Advocacy for Self and for PlanetEducators play a key role in demonstrating self-advocacy as well as advocacy for the future of our planet. Dr. Raven Baxter speaks on her experiences in finding her way in STEM and learning how to use her voice to impact change and raise awareness around issues impacting the STEM community and beyond. Dr. Baxter shares potential practices for educators to engage in that may help students develop unique and strong voices.
